Las Vegas Vintage Elopement Wedding on 35mm Film | Elise + Brigham

Have you ever gotten the sense that you’re going to vibe with someone before even having met them? That’s the feeling I got when I received Elise and Brigham’s inquiry in my inbox.

I’m a sucker for all love stories, especially when you have two high school sweethearts tying the knot after years of being together. But, admittedly, I continue to swoon even more when there’s a stylistic vision in mind for your wedding day because it gives me even more of a sense of you as people, it shows the intention and care going into your special day, AND you just know it’ll look darn good lol.

“We’ve been together since highschool and have been best friends since day one.

We both love everything vintage and have an affinity for the late 60s rock and roll but also kitschy themes and we both love the way things look captured on film!”

I was so stoked- especially since they wanted their wedding captured on 35mm Film. I know it’s been said but film just adds a distinct, warm and fuzzy, nostalgic vibe that you can’t quite get with digital photography.

I was so excited coming into their wedding day- so much so that my heart literally skipped a beat when I arrived to the Little White Wedding Chapel and saw Elise in her beautiful, voluminous veil and her stunning vintage, tea-length lace gown and super duper cool red socks! Brigham also complemented their theme wonderfully with a really dapper western shirt and rad bolo tie. And, unplanned by both of them, they both sported some super cool wingtip/ Oxford-style Doc Martens for the big day. It was kismet 🖤 I really got the sense of vintage kitschiness they were going for but I feel like they also paid a beautiful midwest tribute to their Nebraska roots through their attire as well. They gave such warm, vintage, home-y vibes and I couldn’t be more excited for them.

In true Vegas elopement style, I was scheduled to be with these two lovebirds for only a short hour at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel but it was a very lovely hour indeed: as they had a larger guest count at around 22-30 people attending their wedding ceremony, we went up to the Amore Chapel (Little White Chapel’s largest ceremony space) to get everyone seated for Elise and Brigham’s ceremony.

These two shared their vows in front of their friends and loved ones all before sealing it with a kiss- all in five minutes! And the rest was history 🖤 We spent the remainder of the hour photographing inside of the chapel (which perfectly complimented their more alternative vibes) as the chapel is riddled with a red color scheme, including red victorian couches and chandeliers to accent the room. We also photographed outside of the chapel while the sun was still out and about before I was to bid these two ‘adieu’ 🖤

Kind Words

“We had never been to Vegas, and honestly, when we decided to renew our vows there it all felt a little overwhelming. However, that all changed once we found Cruz. She was so incredibly knowledgeable of the area, gave advice and helped us map out different options and gave us an idea of how different parts of the city were laid out. She was so kind and kept our vision and inspo at the forefront of the experience. Once the day came, it was completely effortless, and she made it so much fun while creating a comfortable environment. I’m so beyond happy we booked with Cruz, and hope we get to work with her again in the future!” -Brandi
