A Special Memory Wedding Chapel | Britt + Jack

As a photographer, I have had the great pleasure of capturing countless beautiful and unique weddings and elopements. However, Britt and Jack's recent elopement session was truly something special. With their love for all things retro and vintage, they planned to travel to Las Vegas, all the way from the UK, for a memorable elopement ceremony at a Special Memory Wedding Chapel.

While I did not have the pleasure of photographing the ceremony itself (as many chapels in Las Vegas do not allow an outside photographer unless you pay a hefty fee) the moment I arrived at the chapel to meet with these two lovebirds, I could feel the excitement in the air. The chapel itself is a charming little building with vintage decorations and trinkets- it almost has an east coast light house vibe (very different for Vegas architecture!). It was like stepping back in time to a bygone era, where love stories were told with style.

Britt, being the ever cool stylist she is and, on this day, the blushing bride, was an absolute vision in her vintage-inspired top and high-slit skirt. Her hair was elegantly styled in retro waves, adorned with her volumous vintage veil. Jack, her dapper groom, was decked out in a tailored classic black and white suit that gave off very 60s James Bond vibes. The couple's fashion choices perfectly set the tone. Looking back at the photos from Britt and Jack's elopement session, I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and cool. Their love for style truly brought a unique and magical touch to their special day.

We spent some time photoraphing around the chapel they had just said their ‘I dos’ in earlier that day before adventuring downtown. I very much had a vision for a good spot that would fit their style so I took them to this beautiful midcentury boutique hotel. There we photographed in front of the white breeze block walls, which perfectly complimented their style.

I then toured them around nearby Downtown Las Vegas where we ended off at the historic Atomic Liquors: a bar that has been around since the 50s and the oldest standing bar in Downtown Las Vegas. These two very much wanted editorial, candid, retro vibes (which went perfect with their choice to have digital photography along with some instant film snapshots) and they certainly brought the perfect energy for the session.

As a photographer, it is always a joy to work with couples who infuse their personality and style into their wedding portraits. Britt and Jack's fun, retro, and vintage wedding was a reminder that love knows no time or boundaries. It was a celebration not only of their love for each other but also of the timeless charm of the past. I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of such a special day, capturing the precious memories that Britt and Jack will cherish for a lifetime. Their wedding will forever stand out as one of the most unique and delightful sessions I have had the pleasure of photographing.
